Blazer Jobs is currently hiring for a full-time Physical Therapist to join a school-based team in Desoto, TX. Key Responsibilities:
As a Physical Therapist in this school-based role, your typical duties will include:

  • Assessing and evaluating students’ physical abilities, mobility, and functional needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Providing direct physical therapy services to students to help them improve strength, coordination, and overall mobility.
  • Collaborating with special education teachers, school staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
  • Tracking and documenting student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure continued improvement.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations in the delivery of therapy services.
  • Educating and training students' families on therapeutic exercises and activities that can be performed at home to support progress.
  • Participating in IEP meetings and providing necessary input regarding physical therapy goals and interventions.

    Job Requirements:
    To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Texas, with compliance to local and state regulations.
  • Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Plan) processes and physical therapy interventions for students with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and deliver high-quality therapy services in a school setting.
  • A passion for helping students improve their physical health and overall well-being.
