Middle School Full-Time Physical Therapist (PT) in Belen, NM for 25-26 School Year

We're looking for a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) in Belen, New Mexico. You'll work with our middle school student population for the full school year (2025-2026).

About the Role:

As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the functional mobility and participation of our middle school students in their educational activities and routines. You will be responsible for:

Evaluating and diagnosing movement dysfunctions in students.

Designing and implementing therapeutic interventions to address student needs, including exercises, activities, and the use of adaptive equipment.

Developing and reviewing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) related to physical therapy goals.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, parents, and other school staff.

Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student evaluations, service plans, progress notes, and other required reports.

Providing encouragement and support to students during therapy sessions.

Who We're Looking For:

A valid New Mexico licensure for Physical Therapy.

Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctor of Physical Therapy degree preferred).

Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is highly desirable.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school personnel.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Proficiency in therapeutic techniques and the use of adaptive equipment.

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
