Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for a part-time Physical Therapist to work in a school-based setting in Morton, PA. Key Responsibilities:
As a Physical Therapist in this role, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting physical assessments and evaluations of students to determine their individual needs and abilities.
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans for students with physical impairments or mobility challenges.
  • Working closely with special education teachers and staff to monitor and assess the progress of students in relation to their physical therapy goals.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students, helping them improve mobility, strength, coordination, and functional skills.
  • Supporting and educating families and caregivers regarding home exercises and strategies for physical therapy progress.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of therapy plans, progress reports, and student outcomes in compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Collaborating with other professionals in the school district to create a cohesive support system for students with special needs.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety standards and procedures while working with students.

    Job Requirements:
    To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Pennsylvania, adhering to all local and state regulations.
  • Prior experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
  • Must have a strong understanding of therapy techniques, educational accommodations, and IEP (Individualized Education Plan) processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a part-time caseload in a school-based environment.
