Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a part-time position in Lewiston, ME for the 2024/2025 school year. This role involves working 15 hours per week over two days, with a small caseload of students. We are open to considering a PTA if they have appropriate supervision arranged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy services to a small caseload of students in a school setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans based on student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' physical development and mobility goals.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • For PTAs: Work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist; supervision must be arranged by the applicant.

    Qualifications:

  • For PTs: Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Maine.
  • For PTAs: Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant and supervision by a licensed PT.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
