Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our school-based team in New Orleans, LA. The PT will play a key role in helping students with physical disabilities improve mobility, strength, and coordination to enhance their ability to participate in the educational environment. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and assess students’ physical capabilities to develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide direct physical therapy services to students to improve motor skills, balance, and functional independence.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' physical development within the classroom and school activities.

Modify classroom activities and suggest adaptive equipment to support students with physical needs.

Document student progress and maintain accurate records, including IEP reports and updates.

Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Provide education to staff and families regarding strategies and exercises to support student development.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Valid Louisiana Physical Therapist license.

Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not required.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
