Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contract position in Philadelphia, PA, to cover a leave of absence through March.     Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist (PT).
  • Provide direct therapy to students, focusing on mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
  • Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to therapy techniques as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' physical and academic success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to discuss progress, goals, and therapy adjustments.
  • Document all therapy sessions and maintain accurate records of student outcomes.
  • Guide and educate school staff and parents on how to assist students with physical activities and therapy-related exercises.

    Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
  • Active PTA license in Pennsylvania.
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for helping students improve their physical skills and overall independence.
