Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with local school districts, is currently interviewing qualified and passionate Physical Therapists for a full-time, school-based contract position in Abilene, TX. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support student growth in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Assess and evaluate students’ motor skills and physical development needs.

  • Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to promote student success.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning and goal development.

  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and service logs in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Support students in both inclusive classroom environments and specialized settings.


    Qualifications & Requirements:

    To be considered, applicants must meet all state and local requirements, including:

  • Valid Texas Physical Therapy License issued by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate)

  • Current CPR certification (if required by the district)

  • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprint clearance

  • TB test and/or additional health screenings as required by the school district

    Preferred:

  • One or more years of experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting
