School-Based Physical Therapist (PT) – 25/26 School Year - Fredericksburg, VA
Virginia Requirements:
Candidates must hold a current Virginia Physical Therapy License issued by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy. A Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program is required. Applicants must also meet any state-mandated background checks and obtain the necessary clearance for working in public schools. School-based experience is preferred but not required.
Help students in Fredericksburg, VA thrive by delivering essential Physical Therapy services during the 2025–2026 school year. As a school-based PT, you’ll play a key role in supporting student mobility, access, and participation across various school environments. Your expertise will help children achieve greater independence and contribute meaningfully to their educational journey.
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations to determine students’ motor skill levels and PT needs.
Design and implement therapy plans for students across all grade levels.
Collaborate with educators and IEP teams to integrate physical goals into students' school routines.
Monitor and document student progress toward established goals.
Provide consultative support to staff and families regarding student physical development and safety.
