Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) for a school-based position in Alsip, IL. The PT will work with students to assess and enhance their physical abilities, promoting their overall success in academic and social activities.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students’ physical abilities, motor skills, and functional needs.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each student's goals.

Provide direct physical therapy services through individual and group therapy sessions.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting.

Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, evaluations, and student progress.

Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications.

Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ physical development and functional independence.

Qualifications:

Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.

Valid Illinois PT license.

Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
