Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapists (PTs) for a full-time position within school districts in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area. This opportunity is perfect for dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting student success through physical development and mobility assistance in an educational setting.


Position Details:

  • Location: Fredericksburg, VA and surrounding districts

  • Type: Full-Time, Contracted

  • Start Date: Immediate

  • Contract Renewal: Based on performance and district needs


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Applicants must meet all Virginia state and local district requirements, including:

  • Valid Virginia Physical Therapist License (issued by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy)

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate)

  • Eligibility to work in public schools; may require additional clearance through the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) or local school board, depending on district policy

  • Experience working with school-aged or pediatric populations preferred

  • Current CPR certification

  • Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by state and district policies


    Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and create individualized therapy plans based on students’ needs and IEPs

  • Provide direct physical therapy services in 1:1 and small group settings

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and IEP teams

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional input

  • Support staff with implementation of adaptive strategies and mobility equipment use
