Summer Physical Therapist (PT) - Springfield, MA

We're looking for a part-time Physical Therapist (PT) to support students in a summer program in Springfield, MA. This is a great opportunity to help students maintain and build their physical skills over the summer break.

Dates: July 7, 2025 - July 31, 2025

Schedule: Part-time, 2-3 days per week, starting at 8:00 AM

Location: Springfield, MA (on-site)

Requirements: Must have a valid Massachusetts PT license/credentials.

What You'll Do

Provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students (specific caseload/grades will be discussed during the interview).

Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student motor skills, mobility, and functional independence.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, often based on existing IEPs.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the summer learning environment.

Monitor and document student progress, therapy sessions, and relevant observations.

Consult with school staff regarding adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to support student participation.

Potentially participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and plan interventions.

What We're Looking For

A licensed Physical Therapist with a passion for working with students.

Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.

Strong understanding of child development.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
