Calling on California-licensed Physical Therapists who enjoy providing services in an education setting, and want to make a difference in local communities! Soliant has partnered with a Special Education program that serves students in Visalia, CA and beyond, and we are seeking a contract provider for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications to be a traveler:

  1. Will you arrange temporary housing while on assignment, while maintaining another home address? 
  2. Will you be commuting 50+ miles to work?

If so, you qualify for housing and/or meals stipends!

Details of contract:

  • Full school year (180 days)
  • Hours of work: typically 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, or 8 AM to 4 PM (in line with school schedule)
  • School holidays or breaks are not paid

    Scope of duties:

  • Evaluate student needs for Physical Therapy or assistive equipment, using standardized tests, clinical observations, and review of medical and educational reports.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs
  • Maintain records of screenings, evaluations, Individual Education Plans, progress reports, classroom/home programs and other data, as required.
  • Consult with classroom teachers and other school staff regarding students' optional function in the school environment.
  • Introduce proposals for navigating the classroom and school building, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications including the identification of architectural barriers.
  • Consult with parents and/or guardians regarding students’ therapy programs.
  • Adapt, fabricate and maintain specialized equipment required for therapy services or student needs.
  • Investigate and recommend types of equipment available to meet student needs, funding sources, and vendor options, including insurance forms and letters of justification.

    Requirements:

  • California PT license
  • Prior experience in school settings highly preferred
