Virtual Physical Therapist for Colorado School District (24/25 SY)

Job Title: Virtual 2024-2025 K-12 School Physical Therapist (Colorado)

Position Type: Part-time (up to 20 hours/ week)

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Therapist to provide virtual support and services to students in our K-12 educational programs. In this role, you will collaborate with students, families, and educators to address physical challenges and promote students' ability to participate fully in school activities. This position offers the flexibility of remote work from anywhere within the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to students, including therapeutic interventions, consultations, and collaboration with educational teams.
• Design and implement exercise programs, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications to support students' physical development and participation in school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans and activities.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed, documenting and reporting outcomes.
• Stay current on best practices and research in physical therapy and education.

Requirements:

• DPT degree from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Colorado.
• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in a school or educational setting, preferably K-12.
• Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy principles and practices, including motor development, mobility impairments, and orthopedic conditions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms and technology tools for teletherapy.
