Experienced and emerging Physical Therapists are needed for a contract opportunity, providing essential therapy services to K-12 – including some Pre-K – students. This is an on-site role with flexible options for full-time or part-time schedules to help meet student needs for the upcoming school year.

This role involves serving as an itinerant provider within a collaborative team, working directly and indirectly with around 94 students (caseload will be shared with another PT and PTA) across 35 schools—typically visiting 2 or 3 campuses daily. This is an impactful opportunity for professionals who are passionate about making a difference in students’ educational journeys.

Qualifications:

  • Active and current Physical Therapist license in Florida
  • School-based experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Comfortable working with a varied student population (K-12, some Pre-K)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Availability for on-site work; local candidates able to begin quickly are encouraged to apply
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect physical therapy services according to students’ IEPs
  • Travel between assigned schools, typically servicing 2-3 sites per day
  • Accurately document student progress and maintain timely records
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Comply with district policies and credentialing requirements
  • Additional Details:

  • Start as soon as credentialing is complete, with contracts until 12/31/2026 and the possibility for extension through the school year
  • Full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time positions available
  • Standard hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
