This contract opportunity offers the flexibility of both full-time and part-time schedules and involves working with students onsite at a school location and, occasionally, supporting students who are medically homebound. Your expertise will play a vital role helping children access their education and increase their participation at school.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Delaware Physical Therapist license (required for consideration)
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Comfort working both onsite in a school as well as in homebound environments
  • Dedication to supporting student independence, functional mobility, and diverse therapeutic needs
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to students according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assess, plan, and document treatment to help students achieve educational and developmental goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care
  • Provide needed services to students who are homebound due to medical needs on an as-needed basis
  • Flexibly manage a caseload that may fluctuate during the year
  • Maintain detailed records and comply with IDEA and district requirements
