Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Physical Therapy license
  • Previous experience as a PT in a school environment strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
  • Dedication to providing evidence-based interventions and advocating for student needs
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to students in alignment with their IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and school staff to promote student access and participation
  • Complete evaluations, re-assessments, and document progress reports as required
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and adapt activities to foster students’ functional independence
  • Educate and train school personnel and families on strategies to enhance student outcomes
  • Contribute to team meetings and support compliance with all relevant state and district regulations
  • This position is structured for 9 hours per week, providing you the stability of a consistent schedule while leaving time for your personal pursuits or other professional endeavors.
