Part Time School Physical Therapist Assistant
Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Schools | $40/hr
ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant for a unique part-time, school-based opportunity.
This is a 0.5 position offering approximately 20 hours per week with flexibility in how those hours are scheduled. The PTA will work on-site with students while partnering directly with a ProCare Therapy Physical Therapist who will provide ongoing virtual supervision and support.
Unlike a fully remote supervision model, the supervising PT will also travel to the school once per month to work alongside the PTA in person, provide hands-on support, and collaborate on student needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school-based PTA who enjoys working independently but still wants consistent access to a supervising Physical Therapist.

What You'll Be Doing
The PTA will provide direct physical therapy services to students under the direction of the supervising PT. Responsibilities may include implementing established treatment plans, supporting mobility and gross motor development, assisting with positioning and equipment needs, documenting student progress, and collaborating with teachers, families, and Special Education teams.
Because the supervising PT will primarily work virtually, we're looking for someone who is comfortable communicating consistently, following established plans of care, and working independently within their scope as a PTA.
Qualifications
Active PTA license for the state of practice
Previous school-based Physical Therapist Assistant experience required
Comfortable working independently in a school environment
Strong communication and documentation skills
Comfortable collaborating with a supervising PT virtually
Previous teletherapy or virtual collaboration experience preferred, but not required
Must meet all applicable school and state employment requirements
