You will focus on enabling a positive school experience for a student who needs assistance with posture, positioning, and safe transfers related to toileting needs. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current credentials
  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of safe transfer techniques, especially related to toileting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Compassion, patience, and ability to support students with complex physical needs
  • Ability to document services and progress clearly and accurately
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist student with posture and positioning during sessions and school activities
  • Safely support student with transfers, including to and from the restroom
  • Collaborate with the educational and interdisciplinary team to adapt plans as needed
  • Foster a nurturing environment while meeting the individual’s physical therapy goals
  • Communicate regularly with staff and family members to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain compliance with school and professional guidelines
