Deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient physical therapy care across all patient age groups and diverse diagnoses, adhering to Alaska’s physical therapy practice standards. Schedule/Hours:

Full-time position

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and treat patients in both hospital and village-based settings using a wide range of therapeutic equipment and modalities

Develop, implement, and modify individualized care plans rooted in best practices

Collaborate with peers, medical staff, and administrative personnel to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Accurately compose and maintain patient documentation and medical correspondence

Provide culturally sensitive care, adapting communication for patients who may not speak English

Stay current with physical therapy research and integrate findings into therapeutic interventions

Operate basic MS Office programs, manage electronic records, and utilize internet resources for continued learning

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Active Alaska license as a Physical Therapist or FSBPT paperwork completed (for new graduates preparing for licensure)

Hospital-based experience valued but not required

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills

Effective written and verbal communication abilities

Comfortable independently planning care in environments with variable resources—village outreach may require bringing equipment to remote locations
