Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Virtual School Physical Therapist licensed in Indiana to provide remote physical therapy services to K–12 students. This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexibility while supporting students' mobility, physical development, and access to their educational environment in a virtual setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services in accordance with student IEP goals
Conduct evaluations, assessments, and progress monitoring to determine students' physical therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence
Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, and progress reports
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Support students across a K–12 caseload with varying physical and motor needs
Work closely with fellow district therapists to ensure continuity of services and best practices
Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, positioning, and accommodations to support student participation in the educational setting
Technical Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Secure, confidential workspace compliant with student privacy standards
Computer with webcam and ability to use virtual assessment/telehealth platforms
Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist license/certification in Indiana (required)
Previous school-based experience preferred
Experience providing pediatric physical therapy services preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Passion for supporting student mobility, independence, and academic success
