Make a meaningful impact as a physical therapist by supporting students in a center-based educational program for individuals with moderate to severe disabilities, spanning kindergarten through age 26. This full-time contract opportunity offers a rewarding and dynamic environment where your skills and compassion are highly valued.

This position runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a commitment of 35 hours per week, working directly onsite near Pontiac, MI. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to provide essential services for students with a wide range of needs, contributing to their growth and independence.

Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan physical therapy license (provide screenshot with application)
  • Experience delivering physical therapy services in a school setting
  • Background working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
  • Commitment to working onsite — remote options are not available
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique abilities
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student participation in educational settings
  • Evaluate progress, document outcomes, and adjust strategies for continued growth
  • Utilize therapeutic interventions that promote mobility, safety, and independence within school environments
  • Maintain compliance with state and local regulations as well as individual education plans (IEPs)
