Exciting contract opportunities await skilled Physical Therapists with a passion for supporting student success in an educational setting near Baltimore, MD! These school-based physical therapy roles run during the summer session, providing direct, in-person care to students across a variety of age groups. Assignments are offered within a supportive community that values each student’s unique needs.

Two main openings are available:

  • Extended School Year (ESY) Program: Runs June 29 – July 30. Therapists will work on-site Monday through Thursday, with schedules of either 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, depending on school placement. Participation in onsite professional development on June 25 is required.

  • Infants and Toddlers Services/Assessments: Runs June 22 – July 30. Hours are Monday through Thursday, up to 7 hours per day.

  • Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland Physical Therapist licensure required (provide documentation).
  • Must successfully complete district-specific background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history review per House Bill 486.
  • Experience in a school setting or with pediatric and adolescent populations is highly valued.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and multiple school locations as assigned.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to students as outlined in IEPs or developmental plans.
  • Assess, develop, and document individualized treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development as required.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state requirements.
