As a Physical Therapist within a local school system, you'll play a vital role in empowering learners to reach their fullest potential. This onsite, contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators and service teams, fostering student independence and growth.

Ideal candidates bring experience working in school-based settings, along with strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Your expertise will ensure students receive the tailored interventions they need for success in both academic and functional settings.

Qualifications:

  • Active Washington State Physical Therapy license
  • Valid Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification
  • Demonstrated experience as a Physical Therapist in a school environment
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Excellent collaboration, time management, and documentation skills
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to students ranging from preschool through age 22
  • Conduct assessments, develop goals, and provide interventions based on student needs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based support plans
  • Offer training and resources to educational staff and families as needed
  • Manage a dynamic caseload across multiple campus locations within central and surrounding areas
  • Maintain thorough, compliant records and track progress for each student
  • This role is onsite only, covering approximately September 2nd through December 2026 and is .8 to 1.0 FTE each week.
