Make an impact supporting students from pre-k through 12th grade in a diverse educational setting. This full-time, contract opportunity for a Physical Therapist centers on serving children with a range of needs—including autism, cognitive disabilities, and those who are medically fragile—within a collaborative and resource-rich school environment in Nottingham, MD 21236.

You'll deliver therapy services during the current school year, helping students develop essential motor skills and greater independence. The role calls for expertise in PT for school-based and healthcare settings, working onsite for 35+ hours per week. Serving a broad age range means each day brings the challenge and reward of creative problem-solving and individualized support.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland Physical Therapy license required
  • Experience supporting children and youth from pre-k to grade 12
  • Background working with students with mild to severe disabilities (autism, cognitive, medically fragile, sensory impairments)
  • Comfortable collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams (teachers, paraprofessionals, families)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess physical therapy needs and design interventions tailored to each student’s unique goals
  • Deliver direct therapy and consultative services in classroom and other school-based settings
  • Adapt activities to foster safe participation and independence
  • Collaborate with staff and families on student progress and care plans
  • Document sessions and monitor progress in line with education guidelines
