This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing school-based physical therapy support to a K-12 caseload, working on-site within a collaborative and supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Washington State Physical Therapist license or willingness to obtain prior to start
  • Willingness to be fingerprinted through OSPI, or ability to complete this process before beginning
  • Strong background in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively with students ranging from kindergarten through high school
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with school staff, families, and other related service providers
  • Commitment to working on-site (virtual service is not an option for this position)
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with their IEP goals, district-wide
  • Evaluate students’ needs and develop individualized intervention and therapy plans
  • Consult with teachers, special education professionals, and families to support students’ functional mobility and participation in school activities
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by state and district guidelines
  • Provide training and resources to school staff to facilitate students’ progress
  • Adapt strategies to meet the diverse abilities and needs of a district-wide caseload of approximately 25-30 students
  • This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week), on-site position throughout the school year—a great opportunity to advance your expertise in school-based PT.
