Make an impact in a dynamic educational setting supporting students from kindergarten through age 26 within a Center-Based Program focused on moderate to severe disabilities. This full-time contract opportunity spans the academic year, offering a chance to collaborate with passionate professionals and help students reach their fullest potential. Working 35 hours each week, you’ll deliver critical physical therapy services and be a valued resource for students, staff, and families.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active Michigan PT license (include screenshot of licensure with application; verify at official site as instructed)
  • Previous school-based physical therapy experience
  • Expertise in supporting individuals with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Commitment to onsite work throughout contract period
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Responsibilities

  • Deliver physical therapy services to students ages K-26 as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Assess students and develop individualized treatment plans targeted to maximize educational participation and functional independence
  • Document progress, create detailed reports, and participate in student evaluations/IEP meetings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to generalize therapy gains across settings
  • Adapt and modify environments or materials as needed to support optimal student outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment and ongoing program development
  • Follow all state and district guidelines for compliance and student safety
