Position Responsibilities
Evaluate students' physical abilities, mobility, and functional needs
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans
Provide direct therapy services to students
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and special education teams
Participate in IEP meetings and student goal development
Recommend adaptive equipment, positioning strategies, and mobility supports
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Support students in achieving greater independence within the educational environment
California Physical Therapist Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
Active California Physical Therapist License
Completion of required clinical education requirements
Ability to satisfy district and state background clearance requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Pediatric or school-based PT experience
Experience working with students with disabilities
Familiarity with IEP processes and special education services
Knowledge of adaptive equipment, mobility training, and functional skills
Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Compensation for this position ranges from $43.20 to $73.20. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
