Step into a rewarding role providing physical therapy support to elementary-aged students in a school-based setting. This very part-time, contract opportunity is perfect for a skilled Physical Therapist who values individualized care and flexibility in their work schedule.

Your time will be dedicated to working with 1 to 2 elementary-aged children at a single site, ensuring continuity and the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships. The position requires a commitment of just one hour per week, making it ideal for professionals seeking a low-hour, impactful position alongside other commitments. The assignment begins August 21st and runs through the end of the school year.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Experience working with school-aged children, especially within elementary settings
  • Understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and progress documentation in a school environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educational staff and families
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, child-centered therapy within a school context
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Administer physical therapy evaluations and interventions for 1-2 elementary students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing mobility, strength, and functional needs
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families to support each child’s educational success
  • Provide insights and recommendations for adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as needed
