Take your physical therapy expertise into a rewarding educational setting, making a difference in the lives of K-12 students. This contract opportunity is a part-time role supporting a caseload of approximately 20 students across multiple school locations in the Fremont area. The assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering you the chance to impact student growth over the academic year.

You’ll collaborate with educators and families while delivering creative and goal-oriented physical therapy services. Mileage to school sites is billable, and you’ll work 10–20 hours per week, allowing for a balanced schedule. Familiarity with Siras and AbleSpace IEP systems is a plus, as you’ll maintain clear documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary planning for each student on your caseload.

What You’ll Need:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in California
  • Previous pediatric or school-based PT experience preferred
  • Comfort evaluating and treating children with varied needs, ages K–12
  • Understanding of IEP processes and experience with Siras or AbleSpace is beneficial
  • Able to manage a caseload of around 20 students, across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation for travel between locations
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ functional mobility and develop individualized plans of care
  • Implement therapeutic interventions within classroom and small group settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school staff and parents
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and adapt strategies as needed
  • Provide staff and family education to promote carryover of skills
