Embark on a fulfilling contract position providing physical therapy in a dynamic school setting, supporting students’ growth and independence. With multiple full-time and part-time openings, this in-person opportunity invites passionate PTs—including travel candidates—to make an impact across several school campuses in the Plainfield, IL area. Assignments run through June 2027, with varying schedules (Monday through Friday) set according to school bell times, so you can expect a start between 7:30 and 8:30am and a billable week of 37.5 hours.

Your caseload will span 35-45 students across elementary, middle, and transition programs, serving both self-contained and general education classrooms. As a valued team member, you’ll provide both direct and consult-based PT services—empowering students to reach their highest levels of physical participation.

Key Qualifications:

  • MPT or DPT degree from an accredited program.
  • Active Illinois Physical Therapy License.
  • Experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred, but all backgrounds considered.
  • Flexibility to travel between school sites as needed.
  • Strong collaboration and written communication skills.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized PT plans.
  • Deliver physical therapy interventions and adapt strategies for student success.
  • Train staff and students in the safe use of mobility and positioning equipment.
  • Maintain detailed daily records, write progress reports, and update goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, and therapists to ensure student needs are met.
