In this position, you will work closely with six children who present with mild to moderate needs. Your expertise will help support their motor development, including activities like stepping, throwing, and overall self-mobility. Some students may require gentle assistance with toileting, making an empathetic, respectful approach vital for success.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license (required)
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric and/or school-based physical therapy
  • Understanding of developmental milestones and age-appropriate interventions
  • Prior work with mild to moderate physical and mobility needs preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, aides, and family members
  • Compassionate and patient, especially when assisting with personal care needs
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct PT services for a caseload of six young students
  • Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to support motor skills (throwing, stepping, coordination, etc.)
  • Monitor and document student progress toward individualized goals
  • Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to optimize student success
  • Assist as needed with toileting and personal care tasks in a supportive, respectful manner
