Step into a rewarding role providing Physical Therapy services to students across multiple school sites in the Fort Myers area. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers the chance to make a genuine impact on children and adolescents from Pre-K through 12th grade in a diverse and supportive educational setting.

As an itinerant Physical Therapist, you’ll travel between schools within the district, collaborating with educators and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that empower students to achieve their fullest physical potential. Each day will bring unique experiences as you work with a variety of age groups and caseloads, supporting students’ access to safe, effective learning environments.

Key qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current Florida Department of Health Physical Therapist license
  • Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
  • Ability to travel between school assignments throughout the district
  • Flexibility and a collaborative approach with school teams and families
  • Successful completion of required fingerprints and eligibility for a JLA badge (includes transfer or verification of previous fingerprints via the AHCA Clearinghouse, with a streamlined process for those with prior credentials in Florida districts)
  • Commitment to upholding student safety and school compliance standards
  • Primary responsibilities:

  • Assess student needs and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver direct therapy and consultative services as outlined in IEPs
  • Document progress and communicate regularly with educators and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and support staff trainings
  • Adapt interventions for a range of physical abilities and developmental levels
  • Travel to assigned schools as part of a dynamic itinerant team
