Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in West Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a school-based PT setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans for children and adolescents
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and other therapists
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant documentation standards
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined by their individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments and develop therapy goals tailored to each student's needs
  • Collaborate with education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student access to educational programs
  • Document sessions, progress notes, and maintain records in accordance with school and state regulations
  • Assist in developing adaptive strategies and modifications for students within academic settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings and offer expertise regarding physical development concerns
