What we're looking for:
• Licensed Physical Therapist with eligibility to practice in Rhode Island
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans and track student progress
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Dedication to meeting IEP goals and state guidelines
• Compassion and adaptability to accommodate students’ diverse needs
• Organizational skills to manage scheduling, documentation, and make-up sessions
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver physical therapy services to a caseload of 6-8 elementary or middle school students
• Assess students and develop tailored interventions aligned with their educational plans
• Conduct both scheduled and make-up sessions as needed to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists for optimal student outcomes
• Document progress, maintain compliance with school and state standards
• Educate staff and family on exercises or strategies that support students’ mobility and participation
• Contribute to the IEP process through evaluations and meaningful input
