Key Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist license
  • Possession (or eligibility) of any required Massachusetts educational certifications
  • Experience in a school-based PT role strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working with therapists, educators, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to accommodate different learning and physical abilities
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide individualized therapy for students with a wide range of physical needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, collaborating closely with educators and special education staff
  • Document progress and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with state and school guidelines
  • Consult with teachers and families to ensure carry-over of PT strategies in classroom and home settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team’s goals
  • This position is onsite and commitment is one day per week, allowing an excellent balance for professionals seeking flexibility alongside meaningful clinical engagement. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2026, providing the stability of a long-term contract in an educational environment.
