School-Based Physical Therapist Needed
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist in Northampton, MA. This candidate will provide therapy services to students with a range of physical and mobility needs to support their educational access and overall development. This position emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student growth and academic success.
• Schedule: Part-time / 3 days per week
• Caseload: K-12, 11-15 students across two buildings

Responsibilities
• Provide physical therapy services to students in individual and group settings based on IEP goals and student needs.
• Conduct evaluations and assist in determining student eligibility for physical therapy services within the school setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, motor skills, and functional independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, therapy logs, and IEP-related records in compliance with district and state guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation in educational activities.
Qualifications
• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) license.
• Previous school-based experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and other relevant special education laws.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a caseload efficiently.
Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive hourly rate starting at $45/hour based on experience
