Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload spanning preschool to high school
  • Strong understanding of IEP documentation and special education processes
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Adaptable approach and willingness to travel between school sites
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ motor and functional skills using appropriate assessment tools
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
  • Deliver direct therapy sessions and consultative services based on IEPs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing clear input to the team
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with educational and professional standards
  • Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support students’ motor development
  • Serve as a resource on adaptive equipment, mobility devices, and environmental modifications
