Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland (MD PT License required)
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric populations, particularly with infants and toddlers
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and relevant federal/state regulations
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to conduct and interpret assessments to develop individualized care plans
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to an infant and toddler caseload, focusing on motor skills, strength, mobility, and independence
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments; develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in coordination with educators and parents
  • Contribute expertise in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings and ensure compliance with documentation standards
  • Offer recommendations and training to school staff and caregivers to optimize student success
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure according to state requirements
