Advance your career supporting students across multiple school sites by providing essential physical therapy assistance in an educational setting. This contract opportunity focuses on working in-person with K-12 students, collaborating closely with supervising physical therapists via remote support. The role requires independence and adaptability as you travel between school locations, contributing to the well-being and growth of students.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide physical therapy interventions and support to students in grades K-12, according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work independently (with remote supervision) to deliver therapy treatments, monitor student progress, and document outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create and carry out effective care plans.
  • Utilize school-based technology systems for reporting, communication, and scheduling.
  • Adjust therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs.
  • Travel between multiple school sites as required.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state and school district policies and documentation standards.
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) license (required).
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently under virtual supervision.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
  • Assignment Details:

  • Contract position running ASAP through May 27, 2027.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • In-person only, no telehealth or VOCO sessions.
  • Supervision by remote PT; you will not be working under an on-site established provider.
