A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Physical Therapist to deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings within a hospital environment. This role provides the chance to work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals regain mobility and achieve their therapy goals using evidence-based practices.

Schedule:

  • Mon–Thurs: 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
  • Fri: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
  • Work at the hospital one Saturday per month
  • Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and develop individualized care plans for patients with a variety of physical impairments or injuries
  • Deliver physical therapy interventions for both inpatients and outpatients, adjusting as needed for progress or changes in condition
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure comprehensive care
  • Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises, post-treatment care, and recovery expectations
  • Contribute to a positive therapy environment by supporting clinical protocols and quality initiatives
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing as a physical therapist, with exposure to both inpatient and outpatient care
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Valid New Mexico state physical therapy license or eligibility for NM licensure (pending licensure accepted if included with application)
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to variable patient needs
  • This position offers a contract duration of 13 weeks, beginning as soon as possible. Those meeting requirements will receive automatic offers—no interviews required. An approved $105/hr rate accompanies this assignment.
