Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Familiarity with adapting therapy plans for diverse student populations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers and families
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement effective individualized treatment plans
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive atmosphere for all learners
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and create tailored therapy plans that support students' educational and physical development
  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services as part of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress for school records and compliance
  • Train staff and caregivers in strategies to assist with students’ mobility and physical needs within the classroom setting
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to advocate for students’ needs and celebrate their progress
  • Adapt approaches and interventions in response to student growth and evolving needs throughout the school year
