This contract position is designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) interested in working part-time with a supportive educational community near Mississippi State, MS. The assignment runs from July 27, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a thoughtfully set schedule to balance your professional and personal life: 16 hours per week over 2 days.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state license or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CF) considered
  • Prior experience in a school or pediatric environment desirable
  • Proficiency in providing both individual and group therapy
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities through standardized assessments and observation
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and document student progress
  • Deliver targeted speech and language therapy to students, adapting methods to best suit their needs
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support each child’s educational development
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student success
  • Maintain thorough and timely records in compliance with school policies
