Step into a rewarding contract role as a school-based Physical Therapist supporting students throughout the summer. Physical Therapists are needed to provide direct therapy and evaluations within in-person educational settings for both Extended School Year (ESY) programs and infant/toddler services. Available schedules:

  • ESY Program: Run from June 29th–July 30th (Monday–Thursday), with a five-week commitment and professional development on June 25th. Hours are 9:30AM–3:30PM for special education schools and 8:00AM–2:00PM for general education schools; maximum of 24 hours per week.
  • Infant/Toddler Services & Assessments: June 22nd–July 30th, Monday to Thursday, up to 28 hours per week.
  • Required qualifications:

  • Current, valid Maryland licensure as a Physical Therapist (MD PT license)
  • Experience with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
  • Flexibility to work onsite and travel between assigned school locations as needed
  • Ability to complete district credentialing processes, including fingerprinting and background checks (per House Bill 486)
  • Willingness to present verification of licenses
  • Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person, evidence-based PT services to students with diverse needs, ages and settings determined by assignment
  • Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and district requirements
  • Participate in prescreen/interview activities as part of the onboarding process
