This travel assignment will provide meaningful professional development, including exposure to both traditional and home health physical therapy practices, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and first-hand involvement in innovative patient care models. You’ll enhance your clinical skills, expand your résumé, and build adaptability by serving orthopedic/joint replacement and geriatric patients with complex conditions such as CHF and COPD.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Days only
  • No weekends or holiday requirements
  • No call
  • Qualifications/Experience:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist (CA)
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience in Home Health strongly preferred
  • Open to travelers with less than two years of experience (must have Home Health experience)
  • Proficient in using EMRs; experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) a plus
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage approximately 5 patient visits per day across the Tehama County service area (average 40 miles/day; mileage will decrease with increased staffing)
  • Conduct SOC visits, especially for orthopedic patients where nursing is not ordered
  • Utilize tablets for EMR documentation
  • Collaborate with Intake RN, Manager, and support staff to coordinate holistic care
  • Serve a varied caseload focusing on orthopedic and multi-morbidity geriatric populations
